1    About our terms

  1. These terms and conditions of use (Terms) explain how you may use this website and any of its content (Site). These Terms apply between WISE Worksafe Ltd (we, us or our) and you, the person accessing or using the Site (you or your).
  2. You should read these Terms carefully before using the Site. By using the Site, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any of these Terms, you should stop using the Site immediately.
  3. There are other terms that may apply to you.  These Terms refer to the following additional terms, which also apply to your use of the Site:
    1. Our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and store your personal data; and
    2. Our Cookie Policy, which sets out information about the cookies on the Site.
  4. If you order any goods or services from the Site separate terms and conditions will apply to those sales as set out here.
     

2. About us

  1. We are WISE Worksafe Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company registration number 08096906. Our registered office is at Unit 5, The IO Centre, Hatfield Business Park, Hatfield, Herts, AL10 9EW. Our VAT registration number is GB 862 594 296.

      3. calling us on 08456 712141. Our telephone lines are open Monday to Friday and will be answered between 07.00 and 17.00.
         

3. Using the site

  1. The Site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that the Site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of the Site for business and operational reasons.
  2. We may update and change the Site from time to time to reflect changes to our products, our users' needs and our business priorities.
  3. You agree that you are solely responsible for all costs and expenses you may incur in relation to your use of the Site.
  4. We make no promise that the Site or the contents on it is appropriate or available for use in locations outside of the UK. If you choose to access the Site from locations outside the UK, you acknowledge you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws where they apply.
  5. You are responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the Site through your internet connection are aware of these Terms and any other applicable terms, and that they comply with them.
  6. We may prevent or suspend your access to the Site if you do not comply with these Terms or any applicable law.
     

4. Registration and password security

  1. Use of the Site may require registration, particularly in order to access restricted areas of the Site.
  2. We are not obligated to permit everyone to register with the Site and we may refuse, terminate or suspend registration to anyone at any time.
  3. You are responsible for making sure that your password and any other account details are kept secure and confidential.  You must not disclose it to any third party.
  4. If we have reason to believe there is likely to be a breach of security or misuse of the Site through your account or the use of your password, we may notify you and require you to change your password, or we may suspend or terminate your account.
  5. If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification code or password, you must promptly notify us (using the details stated above).
  6. Any personal information you provide to us as part of the registration process will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy available here.

 

5. Infringing content

  1. We will use reasonable efforts to:
    1. 1a. delete accounts which are being used in an inappropriate manner or in breach of these Terms; and
    2. 1b. identify and remove any content that is inappropriate, defamatory, infringes intellectual property rights or is otherwise considered by us (acting reasonably unacceptable,

when we are notified, but we cannot be responsible if you have failed to provide us with the relevant information.

6. Your privacy and personal information

  1. Your privacy and personal information are important to us. Any personal information that you provide to us will be dealt with in line with our Privacy Policy available here, which explains what personal information we collect from you, how and why we collect, store, use and share such information, your rights in relation to your personal information and how to contact us and supervisory authorities in the event you have a query or complaint about the use of your personal information.

 

7. Ownership, use and intellectual property rights.

  1. The intellectual property rights in the Site and in the material published on it are owned by us and our licensors. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
  2. Nothing in these Terms grants you any legal rights in the Site or the contents of the same other than as necessary for you to access it. You agree not to adjust, try to circumvent, or delete any notices contained on the Site (including any intellectual property notices) and in particular, in any digital rights or other security technology embedded or contained within the Site.
  3. You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from the Site for your personal use and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to the content posted on the Site.
  4. You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.
  5. Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of contents of the Site must always be acknowledged (except where the content is user-generated).
  6. You must not use any part of the content on the Site for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors.
  7. If you print off, copy, download, share or repost any part of the Site in breach of these Terms, your right to use the Site will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made (except that you are permitted to print off a copy of these Terms).

 

8. No text or data mining or web scraping

    1. You shall not conduct, facilitate, authorise or permit any text or data mining or web scraping in relation to the Site or any goods or services provided via, or in relation to, the Site. This includes using (or permitting, authorising or attempting the use of):
      1. Any "robot", "bot", "spider", "scraper" or other automated device, program, tool, algorithm, code, process or methodology to access, obtain, copy, monitor or republish any portion of the Site or any data, content, information or services accessed via the same.
      2. Any automated analytical technique aimed at analysing text and data in digital form to generate information  which includes but is not limited to patterns, trends and correlations.
    2. The provisions in this clause should be treated as an express reservation of our rights in this regard, including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of the Digital Copyright Directive ((EU) 2019/790).
    3. This clause will not apply insofar as (but only to the extent that) we are unable to exclude or limit text or data mining or web scraping activity by contract under the laws which are applicable to us.

 

9. Submitting information to the site

  1. While we try to make sure that the Site is secure, we do not actively monitor or check whether information supplied to us through the Site is confidential, commercially sensitive or valuable.
  2. Other than any personal information which will be dealt with in accordance with our Privacy Policy, we do not guarantee that information supplied to us through the Site will be kept confidential and we may use it on an unrestricted and free-of-charge basis as we reasonably see fit.

 

10. Accuracy of information and availability of the site

  1. We try to make sure that the Site is accurate, up-to-date, but we cannot promise that it will be. Accordingly, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on the SIte is accurate, complete or up to date.
  2. Furthermore, we cannot promise that the Site will be fit or suitable for any purpose. Any reliance that you may place on the information on the Site is at your own risk. 
  3. We may suspend or terminate access or operation of the Site at any time as we see fit.
  4. Any Content is provided for your general information purposes only and to inform you about us and our products and news, features, services, and other websites that may be of interest, but has not been tailored to your specific requirements or circumstances. It does not constitute technical, financial, or legal advice or any other type of advice and should not be relied on for any purposes. You should always use your own independent judgment (or seek independent advice) when using the Site.
  5. While we try to make sure that the Site is available for your use, we do not promise that the Site will be available at all times or that your use of the Site will be uninterrupted.

 

11. Viruses and Misuse of the Site

  1. We do not guarantee that the Site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.  You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programs and platform to access the Site. You should use your own virus protection software.
  2. You must not misuse the Site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful, or otherwise harmfully interacting with the Site or any part of it. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which the Site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the Site or any other equipment or network connected with the Site. You must not interfere with, damage or disrupt any software used in the provision of the Site or any equipment or network or software owned or used by any third party on which this site relies in any way. You must not attack the Site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack. By breaching this clause 11.2, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Site will cease immediately.

 

12. Hyperlinks and third-party sites

  1. The Site may contain hyperlinks or references to third party advertising and websites other than the Site. Any such hyperlinks or references are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over third party advertising or websites and accept no legal responsibility for any content, material or information contained in them. The display of any hyperlink and reference to any third-party advertising or website does not mean that we endorse that third party’s website, products or services. Your use of a third-party site may be governed by the terms and conditions of that third-party site and is at your own risk.

 

13. Rules about linking to the Site

  1. You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.
  2. You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.
  3. You must not establish a link to the Site in any website that is not owned by you.
  4. The Site must not be framed on any other site, nor may you create a link to any part of the Site other than the home page.
  5. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice.
  6. If you wish to link to or make any use of content on the Site other than that set out above, please contact us before you do so.

 

14. Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you

    1. Whether you are a consumer or a business user:
      1. We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
      2. Different limitations and exclusions of liability will apply to liability arising as a result of the supply of any goods or services to you, which will be set out in our Terms and Conditions of Sale available here.
    2. If you are a business user:
      1. We exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to the Site or any content on it.
      2. We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:
        1. use of, or inability to use, the Site; or
        2. use of or reliance on any content displayed on the Site.
    3. In particular, we will not be liable for: loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue; business interruption; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
    4. If you are a consumer user, we only provide the Site for domestic and private use. You agree not to use the Site for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

 

15. Events beyond our control

  1. We are not liable to you if we fail to comply with these Terms because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, failure of utility services, strikes, lockouts or other industrial disputes; breakdown of systems or network access; flood, fire, explosion or accident; or epidemics or pandemics.

 

16. Assignment

  1. No one other than a party to these Terms has any right to enforce any of these Terms.

 

17. Variation

  1. We reserve the right to vary these Terms from time to time. Our updated Terms will be displayed on the Site and by continuing to use and access the Site following such changes, you agree to be bound by any variation made by us.
  2. Every time you wish to the site, please check these Terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time. These terms were most recently updated on 27 March 2025.

 

18. Assignment

  1. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation. We will always tell you in writing if this happens and we will ensure that the transfer will not affect your rights under the contract.

 

19. Disputes

  1. We will try to resolve any disputes with you quickly and efficiently. If you are unhappy with us, please contact us as soon as possible using the contact details set out at the top of this page.
  2. If you are a consumer, please note that these Terms, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. We both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
  3. If you are a business, these Terms, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

 

20. Trade Marks

  1. WISE Worksafe and Hülse are copyright protected and, with WISE Worksafe logotypes, wordmarks and product performance icons, require written permission to use or apply by any third party.
